2022 - Change in Link Convenor

Mihaela Mitescu-Manea (West University of Timisoara, Romania) replaced Hannu Heikkinen ( University of Jyväskylä ) as Link Convenor after ECER 2022. She and Ken Jones are Co- Link Convenors.

2019 - Change of Name

After ECER 2019 NW 01 "Continuing Professional Development: Learning for Individuals, Leaders, and Organisations" changed the name to "Professional Learning and Development".

2015 - Change in Link Convenor

In 2015, Hannu Heikkinen started as Link Convenor; since 2017 he has been supported by Ken Jones as co Link Convenor.

2011 - Interview with Link Convenors

At ECER 2011 "Urban Education" in Berlin, Graham Attwell and his colleagues from Pontysysgu interviewed the link convenors Maureen Killeavy and Vivienne Collinson.

2010 - Change of Name

2007 - Change in Link Convenor

In 2007, Vivienne Collinson started as Link Convenor for NW 01. She served as Link Convenor until 2011.

2005 - Change of Name

Continuing Profession Development for Teachers and Leaders in Schools (2005),

2002 - Change in Link Convenor

Convenor changed to Maureen Killeavy.

2000 - Change of Name

Network 1 was earlier called 'Research into the Continuing Professional Development of Teachers'. Reflecting rapid changes within the field of CPD during the first decade of the 21st century, Network 1’s name was changed to 'Continuing Professional Development of Schools' (2000) and Christopher Day was supported by co-convenors including Jorunn Moller & Ciaran Sugrue.

1996 - Network Founded

NW 01 was established under the title "Research into the Continuing Professional Development of Teachers". The first acting Link Convenors was Christopher Day.
