2021 - Project

The Network 20 Development Project  "Understanding voices, spaces and identity through innovative methods", planned for March 2020 at the Universitat de València, had to be postponed until further notice due to the Covid 19 crisis.

2021 - Project

A Network Project already planned and approved in 2018 with the title "Forced Migration and the Global Education 2030 Agenda: From educational research to policy and practice” had to be postponed due to the Brexite and Covid 19 crisis. The Preseminar of ECER 2021 in Geneva is a collaboration of the EERA Networks 04, 07 and 20.

2019 - Special Call

NW 20 offered the joint special call with NW 31 at ECER 2019: Reflections on cultural and linguistic diversity in educational research

2018 - Change in Link Convenor

After ECER 2018, Carmen Carmona Rodriguez (University of Valencia, Spain) took over from Christian Quvang as New Link Convenor of the Network.

2016 - Project

Supported by EERA, a joint project 'Cultural Learning, Identity and the European Project’ was introduced by members of NW17 and NW20. The focus of this project was an exploration of the interplay between two concepts being promoted within European educational policy discourse, that of the Engaged University and Cultural Learning. Results of the project will be summarised in a book welcoming contributions from both networks.

2015 - Change in Link Convenor

In 2015, Christian Quvang / Denmark took over from John Willumsen / Denmark, who served the network for many years.

2002 - Change in Link Convenor

Since 2002 John Willusen acted as the only Link Convenor for network 20.

2000 - Network Founded

The Network 20 was started by John Willumsen, Pavla Polecova and Manfred Bayer in 2000. John was acting as Link Convenor and Pavla Polecova and Manfred Bayer were acting as Co-Convenors.
