Poster and paper submissions

Poster submissions

The winner of the Best Poster Prize will be announced at the ERC´s closing Ceremony, Tuesday, 5-5h30 in building FPCEUP - room 2 A.<link _self internal link in new>

All submissions for the ERC are made through Conftool <link https: www.conftool.com ecer2014 _self external link in new>www.conftool.com/ecer2014/. We recommend that PhD students who are not very experienced or whose research is not very conclusive yet apply only for the ERC, that is NW 21.

People who want to present a poster at the ERG conference may either present a digital version of their poster or a "Pecha Kucha". “Pecha Kucha” is a simple presentation format where you show a Powerpoint with 20 slides, each for 20 seconds, thus you have 6 minutes and forty seconds in total. The images advance automatically and you talk along to the image. This type of format aims to promote concise and fast-paced presentations. There is sufficient information on the Web to help you prepare a “Pecha Kucha”. One of Monday´s poster sessions will be reserved for "Pecha Kucha", therefore "Pecha Kucha" will only available to a limited number of participants. Please send an email to <link window for sending>brandis@eera-ecer.de to reserve a place.

Parallely, there will be a poster exhibition in the hall so people get a chance to look at all the posters during the breaks. We will ask all the poster presenters except those doing a "Pecha Kucha" to send the poster to the University of Porto before the conference or bring it with you.Tuesday afternoon you may pick up your poster in the exhibition area.

Required format for your poster is A1 (594 x841 mm/ 23.3 x33.1 in) portrait
(upright). Printing facilities will also be available. Additionally, please send your poster as a pdf to brandis@eera-ecer.de <<link _blank>brandis(at)eera-ecer.de> and pfidalgo@campus.fct.unl.pt <<link _blank>pfidalgo(at)campus.fct.unl.pt>  two weeks before the conference as we wil be compiling them for the jury of the Best Poster prize.

If you want to send your poster to Porto before the conference, please send it to:
