EERA’s Role in Europe – Now and in the Near Future

Anniversary Panel

Thursday, 4 September, 17:15 - 18:45

Chairs: Lejf Moos, Theo Wubbels

Location: A 101

EERA is an association of approximately 30 national/regional associations from all over Europe. We have more than 30 thematically networks running the sessions in the conference and the seasonal schools. We have 2,000 to 3,000 attendees at the annual meetings (ECER), with 300 to 400 at the Emergent Researchers Conference (ERG).

We are closely connected to the European Educational Research Journal (EERJ). We are founding members of The World Educational Research Association (WERA), member of the core group of the European Alliance for Social Sciences and Humanities (EASSH) and member of The Initiative for Science in Europe (ISE).

Over the last twenty years, EERA has been prospering and growing. So now the questions arise: Where should we go from here? What do priorities our priorities need to be if we want to facilitate educational research associations and researchers in the constantly changing political, economical and culturally changing European and Global contexts?
